Born and raised in Regional Queensland, I have lived in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne for the past 12 years with my wife and two teenage daughters. Prior to this, I gave 16 years of service to the Royal Australian Air Force in the field of Avionics Maintenance Management. Upon moving into the private sector I was responsible for managing business units in a local company in Melbourne. Providing years of dedicated service, support and technical guidance to law enforcement and other public safety organisations. I am passionate about leadership, continuous improvement and teamwork. Since 2020 I have been the Business Development Manager for the Fatherhood Foundation, a charity dedicated to supporting fathers to be the best Dads possible and give their kids the best start in life. In addition to this, mental and emotional health, family wellbeing and honest governance are causes I care deeply about.
In recent years the erosion of values and freedoms in our nation, and the increasing challenges being placed on our youth, particularly concern me. Having lived overseas I appreciate the richness of other cultures and the importance of helping communities thrive in the great diversity of the Australian people.
