I came to Australia in 2004, having worked in information technology for 20 years. On arrival, my wife and I started a small business in property and construction, before I segued into business administration and then a Perth-based e-commerce start up. These diverse experiences in business gave me insight to the ridiculous amount of ‘red tape’ imposed on businesses, which slows growth and stifles ingenuity. I have been a volunteer coach and committee member for various sporting clubs, and most recently I have been involved in local groups promoting community and freedom of choice.
I firmly believe Australia needs an enforceable constitution with a bill of rights to protect the rights, privileges and responsibilities of all Australians. We need sound money management plus the establishment of a people’s bank and the opportunity for increased parental involvement in their children’s educational content, including constitutional awareness and financial literacy to promote self-reliance. The most important element of any nation is its people. Our government must always govern in the interests of the people.
