Here in the South West we care about the future of our forests, our soils, our oceans, and our close-knit communities. We want to know that our future is secure, with a strong and stable economy, along with a thriving Earth. I am a permacutluralist, a mother and a doula, and in these overlapping roles I understand the value of a balanced ecosystem, locally grown food and empowerment of the individual to rethink the ‘rules’ of an outdated system. In stewarding our land, food and water resources, I would like to see us listen to and learn from the First Nations peoples, blending our knowledge and skills as we co-create our region’s future. We must return to educating our youth in the ways of organic food growing, nurturing nature, and developing healthy habits so that they can become creative, healthy, happy people. In all these respects, the Australian Federation Party is a beacon of hope and positive change and I am proud to stand with them as candidate for Forrest.
