I am a CPA with 40 years experience in Public and Private sector accounting, with almost half of that as a consultant and small business owner. I am also a single mother. I am disabled and have been a self managed Participant of the NDIS since 2017 and DSP recipient for nearly 10 years. I am passionate about addressing NDIS failures and the inability of successive governments to properly support our aged. I want to prove that the disabled have more to contribute to
this country than we currently allow them to.
I grew up in Canberra and learnt to love our Federation, but COVID saw it fractured to its core. States shut out other Australians and separated families, even as loved ones died. The ALP failed to form a national policy as their State premiers developed amnesia and abdicated responsibility to government officials. The LNP could not control the fracturing. It is time that clear lines between State and Federal responsibilities were drawn, funding needs to be reassessed. The public deserve to know who is responsible when things go wrong, as they are, so obviously, right
now.
It is time to take the politics out of Politics, return to our democratic roots and focus on making Australia better for every Australian.
