I was born in Hobart and came to Adelaide with my parents in 1973. My cherished childhood and youth were spent in the North-Western suburbs of Rosewater and Cheltenham. I have worked in the Aged Care sector as a Care Worker for the past 17 years. I am passionate to effect positive change and would champion for more support for mental health across all age groups. Another community cohort that deserves greater attention and advocacy is the homeless – homelessness has become an ever increasing issue exacerbated by low availability of affordable housing and increasing rental pressures. I would also support the return of more efficient manufacturing in Australia, not only as it presents an increase to employment opportunities but also to curtail our reliance on overseas supply. If elected, I will ensure the voices of Hindmarsh electorate are heard.
