I was born in Port Hedland, moving to Esperance mid-childhood. I took an apprenticeship in Refrigeration Fitting, eventually starting my own refrigeration business before moving into FIFO work, which I can no longer do due to government vaccination mandates. I have been alarmed at the government’s use of emergency powers in this regard, and will work towards making sure this situation never happens to Australians ever again. Working in regional WA put me in touch with the importance of Indigenous Affairs. I believe that tribal elders and tribal lore should be included in policy formation and should be taught in schools so that our future generations can gain a greater understanding of the rich history of this country. My personal experience with family law courts has highlighted the need for reform in this area, and as a small business owner I have seen the degradation of workers rights and too much red tape for small businesses, while global corporations seemingly run the agenda in our parliament. My hope and vision for the future of Australia is to see true democracy return to the every day people, and to see individuals, families and small businesses flourish.
