Cheryl Lacey

It is an honour to be your Federal Senate candidate for Victoria and represent all Australians on the two issues that matter most – family and education. Our way of life, our national security and our future are dependent on the strength and value we place on these two fundamental issues.

My life and career have been dedicated to the relationship between parents who raise children and the education services that support them. I am the mother of two daughters, my eldest daughter from Thailand and my youngest from Hong Kong. My de-facto husband is from the USA. The Australian and USA alliance and our relationship with Asia is significant.

My international career in education spans early childhood through to tertiary positions, consulting, business owner, work in radio and print media, and published author. I also bring my experience and faith as a proud member of Rotary and the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Knights Hospitaller, Australasia. Through these two organisations I have gained a deep understanding that we all have the opportunity and responsibility to give and to prosper.

My aim is to ensure we continue to learn from and teach one another, so that we have all we need for our families and our great nation to thrive.
