Rebecca Skinner

I am married with two adult children and live in South Gippsland. Previously I owned a small business for ten years and understand the overwhelming challenges small business owners face, and have suffered for the past two years. I am the founder of a volunteer-run animal rescue and am passionate about helping animals. My goal is to preserve and support the regeneration of our beautiful country’s heart, soul, and soil. I have lost faith in our system and our government’s ability to recognise the wants and needs of Australians. We need change.

I have watched small businesses fade away for too long due to the encroachment of large international corporations. It is time we looked after Australia first. We need to support small businesses and local communities in a way that will see them flourish and grow. We need a government that cannot be bought out. Accountable to us, the people. I am passionate about supporting a party that is working towards a fairer, more caring, sustainable, empowering, and locally focused government. I am standing to serve the people of La Trobe with openness and honesty. I want to hear your needs, and I will listen, respond, and act in the community’s best interest.
