I am excited to be the Australian Federation candidate for the seat of Lalor. My background encompasses a diverse understanding of business having founded, built, and sold a variety of businesses during my 30-year career. I entered the community space around 14 years ago, where I was responsible for developing strategies to source funding and manage a variety of projects, including the StreetHealth Program (an after-hours primary health service for the homeless), the Expanded settings program, providing chronic disease management training to student doctors, and the First Step program which provides casual jobs and meals for unemployed and underemployed persons.
A proud Australian, born in Melbourne, but at 57 years old, I have become disillusioned with the quality of political candidates on offer and especially with what passes for representative government in Australia today. My goal for standing for the seat of Lalor, is to show my electorate and indeed all of Australia, what real representation looks like.
